Hawk is a director and screenwriter, born and raised in Reykjavík, Iceland. In sixth grade, Hawk picked up a camera and started a video club with his schoolmates, making fake documentaries, music videos for bands that no one listened to, and mystery short films with grueling ketchup murders. Fast forward to today, he’s just as excited to pick up a camera and point it at something exciting to tell a good story.

After graduating from film school, he worked his way up in the industry and made sure to stop in almost every department to become a better director. He’s a talent who is agile across genres –  equally adept at comedy and drama. All underpinned by his innate sense for visual storytelling, Hawk is actively involved in the scriptwriting of all his commercials. He’s worked for big brands like Ikea, Icelandair, Skyr, and China’s Bank of Communications, to name a few. His drama work has screened at multiple international film festivals, and he received a Vimeo Staff Pick and an Icelandic Academy Award for his sci-fi short film “Heartless.” He likes to spend all his free time with his family, but he’s also a hopeless mid-handicap golfer who hopes to score below eighty at some point in his life.
