Ian Hunt-Duffy is an IFTA Nominated and Oscar Qualified Director of feature films, commercials and branded content. His outstanding short film ‘Gridlock’ won 60 awards at over 150 film festivals worldwide, including Best Director at the Savannah International Film Festival and a Young Director Award at Cannes Lions.

In 2018, he took part in the prestigious Berlinale Talents in Germany as a director, being the only Irish filmmaker chosen amongst 250 candidates from 81 countries, and in 2019 won the Discovery Award at the Dublin International Film Festival.

He creates gripping work that keeps his audiences guessing. He builds visceral, dramatic worlds that are perfect canvases for his huge skill with cast and his ability to craft story. His commercial work includes spots for Jameson, Vodafone, Apple, Pfizer, Fyffes, Mace, KBC, National Lottery, and Brennan’s Bread.                

Last year, Ian directed his debut feature film ‘Double Blind’, a horror/thriller funded by Screen Ireland and Epic Pictures which was released to critical acclaim in February 2024.
